Hi everyone. First post for me. 49 year old woman who walks miles with my dog and wears size 10 clothes but shocked myself by only getting to L2 on a recent bleep test 😱. Decided to #getfitfor50 and do this app. Have never been to the gym or exercised before so found even running for 60 secs really hard but I’ve done it and am so proud of myself. Can’t stop talking about it to friends and actually get excited about going! Nervous about getting on to W2 but thought if I find it too tough to maybe repeat 3 runs on W1 again? What do you guys think? Ps: loving reading everyone’s inspiring stories 😊
W1R3 Done ✅ : Hi everyone. First post for me. 4... - Couch to 5K

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
The only reason to repeat a run is because you have not completed it. Believe in yourself and trust the plan.
You only fail by heading back full-time to the couch
Enjoy your journey.
Go for it
Sounds like you'll not have too many problems but stick to the programme
Good luck in the weeks ahead
You got this
Most people here will tell you not to repeat, but everyone is different. Repeating is a strategic choice, not a failure. It can be helpful for building stamina, pace and confidence. That said, if you’re managing all the runs in week 1, your body is telling you that it’s ok to go on a little further. You may find week 2 a bit harder and have to repeat, but to make progress one has to challenge oneself a little. You can do this - we’re all right behind you ! Enjoy the journey 😀
Welcome.
I was always told that when you find something impossible it’s time to work. You’ve done week one, your body wonders what the heck you’re doing to it, it’s a confusing time... but you did it. I moved on at that point despite thinking of the repeat... and I’m glad I did. There’s no failure here, if you don’t complete a run you’ve put extra strength in the legs and lungs for the next one. The impossible run that kicks your butt and you can’t complete also build you up for the next time. You can be beaten up or beaten down by a run, but you can only be beaten by yourself. You will probably surprise yourself in week 2... this plan puts fitness on shockingly fast... and if you don’t, it’s time to work. Keep trying and you’ll be a runner.
