I have been doing 5k consistently for last 5 months. My stamina has increased gradually. I can do 6k easily in 38 minutes without getting physically tired. Do you think I should go for 1 hour run and see how it goes? And when will I be able to do 10 K.

Well done on the running..but..shaking the runs up a tad and building up to 19K is the thing. Head across to Bridge to 10K and take a look at ju-ju- 's programme.10 is the Magic number. It is a slow and safe and steady build up to 10K..and it's fun😉

You need to build up your duration/distance using the 10% rule, as outlined in the guide. Don't try to jump from 38min/6k in one go.
Take care.

It only takes a few weeks following 10% rule on either distance or duration to get to 10k, I certainly wouldn’t push it any faster.
