Hi Myrar, yes it has been unusually warm 😊up here in Scotland for the time of year, nearly 20C. Not sure regarding you deleting your 1.6k run today. To find anything on a Garmin or any running ⌚ watch try fiddling about with the press button and that way you eventually find what you want, but in your case you deleted it, I am not sure if you can retrieve your lost deleted run

This morning before the temperature got to 60F/16C I ran my second 5k run, my time was a teeny bit quicker than my first 5K last Saturday at 33.40πŸƒβŒš

I don't know if you have heard of the annual "Cumbernauld Christmas Cracker 5K" which is held on the first Sunday of December. I was a spectator at last year's event. At that time I did not know the exact course but by looking at the route on the website I found exactly what the route was. I walked round the course in about an hour a week later and a month later I 'power walked' around it in 48 minutes.

During the 9 weeks of training with C25K I occasionally did the runs on that course including I think it was week 3 or 4 in a time of 44 minutes, all I did was to continue after the 20 minutes or so to complete the full course. So today I ran it from the start just outside Clydes football Broadwood Stadium with my new Smartphone and for the first time I had Mapmyrun telling me at every kilometers my 1K split times and finally my full duration time according to Mapmyrun as 33.40.

I know what you might be thinking "Am I going to run that Christmas Cracker 5K this December" the answer is probably not.

Regards

Alan in Cumbernauld

Not sure Myrar if you can retrieve your stats after accidently deleting them, no other person has replied to your original email which you posted over 5 hours ago apart from me when I replied that I doubted if it could be done. (You usually get loads of replies to your various emails within that time) There maybe some expert that could help you to retrieve the stats but so far no one seems to know, perhaps you could take it to the shop you bought the watch from and they "might" know how to retrieve the stats.

Allan i meant why arent you doing the cumbernauld run ? ....i would have thought you would have entered that its near hand and you would succeed doing the 5k no problem πŸ‘πŸ‘

Sorry about that Myrar, as far as the Xmas 5K I may run it as I know the route like the back of my hand as they say, it's just a 20 minute walk to the start from where I live.I am not worried about the time, I would pace it in a big santa red costume in 40/45 minutes, for the last 3 years I have had a white beard and have occasionally been called Santa, that doesn't bother me so if I did run I would not be given a false beard like other competitors in the run, I'll think about entering over the next few days, so far I have not seen any entries for it on the North Lanarkshire Website

Thank you Myrar for informing me regarding the Cumbernauld 5K, just scrolled down that list you found. I noticed that The Christmas Cracker Cumbernauld 5K cost's Β£35 to enter and I nearly passed out when I saw that rip off price they were asking for. The Cumbernauld 10K did not cost that much, even the Glasgow Great Scottish Run a couple of weeks ago asked only around Β£30 for competitors in the half marathon. So with a entry price of Β£35 it is very unlikely that I will be taking part.

allan its only Β£10 to enter thats if its a team that is entering .it would cost Β£35 ....i think its the one up from the team entry you should look at ..if that makes sense πŸ‘

Thanks Myrar, Β£10 is fine, certainly will consider entering at that price, no problem, I am now off to bed and will no doubt be dreaming of running a 5K again very soon.

Good night.
