Hi folks just completed only 4 mins in total of W5 R2. I've had so much time off, due to having shin splints, I've definitely lost the fitness level I had over a week ago. Please help!!!! What should I do? Start back on a previous week or keep trying for this run until achieved? 😕

I read the title there and thought “that’s just showing off, running backwards”
Your last run was 5 days ago according to your posts, so you shouldn’t have lost any fitness, quite the opposite in fact. Are you feeling otherwise ok? Did you set off a little faster?
Running backwards lol. Going my usual speed and everything else that I should be. Just the pain in my lower legs, shins, is worse than ever now. Going to buy some compression sock and give them a go. Did feel a little out of breath but my lungs are still clearing out after I gave up smoking a couple of months ago ☺️
Yeah, mine too. Maybe the pain didn’t help and your body is saying stop.... or could be just a bad run day, it happens. From what I’ve read compression socks will help... have you had a checkup or seen a physio?
Had a check up with the doctors and everything is fine. Starting my annual 6 months of work next week and the company provides a free sports physio and gym as part of the contract 😀 Will see them as soon as I start ☺️
Compression socks are brilliant. Definitely have helped with my Achilles tendonitis. I run in long compression socks and use short ones for other exercise to support my tendon. I also continue with icing after exercise . Good luck...
