So much for "longer runs will let me pace myself"

W5R2: the 8 minute runs. I said that this would give me the chance to slow down to the pace I need to run at. It worked for the first part of the run, up a rise into the breeze, but downhill with the breeze behind me (and Laura telling me that I only had a minute to go at the end of it) I did at nearly a minute/km under my "I can plod along like this easily" pace. No wonder the second run was tough!
