Hi all, I'm new on here. I've just completed W6R1 but I'm using a treadmill, I haven't got the guts to go out in public on my own yet!
Not sure whats going on as I managed to complete my W5D3 shuffle (can't admit to running yet!) and found W6D1 run really hard. I can't look to see times of the next shuffle yet, I'm leaving it as a surprise! ha ha

Ah, the deceptive week 6! You manage 20 minutes with no stops and you think you've cracked it. Then 2 days later you can't manage 8 minutes without a break. I remember it well. Don't know what's going on, but just take it as it comes and you'll love day 3 this week! Well done for completing day 1.
I can highly recommend shuffling outdoors, though it's not to everyone's taste. I love the fresh air and change of scenery. On a sunny day I'll walk up the downs then start the app to shuffle along the top and run down again. I've also "run" round my housing estate for 30 mins and not seen a sole, so don't be embarrassed, likey no one will see you and the few people you do meet won't give you a second thought xx
Congratulations on w6r1. I'm a week behind you so will take heed of w6r1. Seems like it's a tricky customer 😁
You’re not alone!! Run 1 and 2 were horrible for me then the doubts crept in!!! Run 3 was great though! Hang in there, there might be a few bad days but they make the good runs even better!”
I did this run today and also found it tough (and I'm on a treadmill as well!). I went into it pretty confident, even though I'd been warned on here!. I just thought '20 mins last week was fine, so it'll be fine'. How wrong I was! Funnily enough, it wasn't the 8 minute run that was a struggle, but the final 5 minutes - for the first time since I started, I was really tempted to slow right down. But I managed to keep up a reasonable pace. Looking forward to the rest of the week now I've got the Monday run out of the way!
