I read all the posts about this run and as I'm sure others did, I went no it totally looks easy compared to W5R3? This is gonna be a cake walk, oh yeah, watch me go.
Then I wanted to take all the posts I'd read about this run and send a virtual "I'm not worthy" to you for even THINKING this would be easier than you'd said it was. That your struggles were probably me over worrying like W5R3, I'd be like 'what's the biggy?'
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
To the post that said their legs felt like lead? Oh definitely! When did my legs outweigh airplanes?
To the ones who said they were very tired early on? I just wanted to take a nap right there, in the dirt where I was running.
WHEN did 5 minutes become 3 hours? And 8 minutes a lifetime?
I finished, admittedly I waited too late in the morning to run, as a Californian living in Scotland, I can't believe I'm going to say this but, it was genuinely too hot and the area where I run was overrun with photobugs (I'm a photographer so I understood) because the local swans have been showing off their 9, yes 9, new babies. So the crowd, the heat and of course...the run contributed to me just being glad to say, I did it.
Let us see how the rest of week six goes?
Any tips welcome... honest.
