I always think what to write for my title as I run, I’m glad I vetoed ‘wet & wild afternoon’ and stuck with the usual boring description! 😜 but I have come home a drowned rat! Or maybe that should be a drowned snail?!?! 🐀 🐌
So this will be my first post directly after a run and not at the end of a night! Only took 7 weeks - but one challenge at a time!
So after being up in the middle of the night again and doing swimming lessons this morning, I started today’s run tired. So tired I forgot to eat my usual banana before I set out and remembered 5 minutes in! It was tough and I was running on empty. After a chuckle about my original title I settled in and felt like I was off. Met 2 squirrels playing which added to my favourite part of my run, and ended with the usual sprint which made me feel great!
Can’t quite believe I’m about to start week 8, and then it’s graduation week!!! Anyway let’s not get too ahead of ourselves!
Off for my eggs now! And to think of a well deserved congratulations message for UNM

That is a good post and nice photo of you Marcia-H. So you are at swimming lessons and running as well, that will certainly keep you fit. Not long now until you graduate. This morning I reran W9R3 as part of all the reruns I have been rerunning over the last month. There was this lady in front of me running a bit slower than I was, so I was getting gradually nearer to her and thought to myself 'could this be the first person that I may past in all the time that I have been running on C25K' No. I'll slow down and not overtake her, within 10 seconds of me thinking that, she stopped running and although I didn't stop running I slowed down to the same speed as she was walking. After 8 seconds she began running again but took a right hand turn on the path we were on but I had already planned to keep going straight on. After she had gone I resumed at a quicker pace that I am used to. If I had been trying for a PB I would certainly have had to overtake her.
Thanks!! Swimming lessons were for the wee ones-baby and toddler, but It did still add to the overall bedraggled look!! 😆
That is so nice of you to be so considerate to other runners! The only runners I see are always going the opposite direction - I do always wonder what stage they are at!!!
Thank you!!! Oooh I never look! I like the surprise of finding out when I’m on my warm up! 😃 good job I don’t take my photos at the beginning of the run 😳
