Week 7 done. Roll on week 8!

Last night my husband suggested he get in the car about 25 mins after I set off to meet me and drive me home. So I was free to just keep running without thinking where and when to turn. Had a lovely run. Settled into my stride well and just let myself get lost in the music. I ran past the car in the last minute and the intrepid chauffeur/photographer was able to get an action shot and then did my 5 min warmdown walk with my own support car following on behind! Good thing we live in the countryside with no neighbours!

Loving these longer runs. Can’t really believe I’m saying that but I’m so looking forward to week 8.

The early weeks were so tough but I can see now that they set you up for the later weeks and the sense of achievement is amazing every run.

Roll on Monday!

Very good work, Ren! And how lovely it must be to have such a supportive hubster. 😀

Congratulations on finishing week 7. Very glad you are enjoying the long runs. I loving waving goodbye to the recovery walks! You are in your stride now. 🏃‍♀️👏

😘

I wasn’t looking forward to losing the recovery walks especially after week 6 Run 1 but I don’t even miss them now. How odd. I never really understood how much running is in your head. I guess you have to get to this point to realise it. Good luck with week 9. Not long to go!

Sounds a great run and looks a lovely place too - great photo! This running thing gets a bit addictive doesn't it 😉 enjoy week 8

I can’t believe how addictive it is. I never though I’d stick with it when I started but something odd has happened and I feel like a runner now.

Posh runner..own trainer and support vehicle....and photographer too ! You are looking good..keep it slow and steady :)

The lovely long runs lend themselves to just heading out one way.. and really give you time to find your happy pace:)

Goo you!

Haha. I maybe forgot to mention ...... he is also a sports physio so I even have my own physio to work out any niggles along the way! Mind you, when ever I ask him for advice he normally says he doesn’t bring his work home!!!! Having a ball with the longer runs and taking it all in my stride.

Blimey... really wonderful!!!

My husband has suggested he cycles and I run, so that he can encourage me to run faster on the longer runs... however....I think riding tandem on the way home could be an issue:)

If my husband drove alongside me with a chocolate bar held out the car window I would definitely run faster 🍫
