I started my week this week, I’m doing mine on a treadmill too. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be the same as running on the street 😃 x

Awesome!

The cold isn't too bad if you dress appropriately, but absolutely fine to use a treadmill. To make the eventual transition back to running outdoors easier, keep the incline on 1-2 degrees as running outdoors is more of a challenge on the body - wind resistance, uneven surfaces, etc. :)

You can indeed use a treadmill. The important thing is to do what works best for you. It really doesn't matter.

And you can always change your mind. I used the treadmill quite a bit to start with, but funnily enough came to hate it and now call it the dreadmill as I find it so boring compared to being outside on a nice route in the fresh air with things to look at!

Running on a treadmill will have just the same health benefits as running outdoors... of course you can do this indoors, many have.

Welcome and well done on week one.

I'm using a treadmill to get going on the c25k. I hate running and if it's raining outside my motivation goes so now I have no excuse not to do the runs.

I'm using a treadmill and am on week 3 now. I have weak ankles and would be worried about twisting them running outside so am keeping safe for the time being (I am also worried about people seeing me to be honest!). I have the treadmill set at a 1% incline to make it slightly tougher/similar to running outside. Having said all that I can't wait to join a Park Run when I get a bit further along!

Agree with everyone, I quite like the measured pace and incline of the treadmill. If I'm feeling good I can increase the pace slowly and gradually or not as the case may be . As others have said, set the incline to +1 bang on some running music on your headphones and enjoy!!
