Ok so how consistent is Strava? Or are my new running shoes really that super? Sunday (all be it first Park Run) my pace was 7.09 and this morning it was 5.58 though over slightly less distance π€ seems like a big difference? They did feel comfy ππββοΈπββοΈ
New Balance = New Pace?: Ok so how consistent is... - Couch to 5K
New Balance = New Pace?
Could be a few factors... shoes will give you a little for sure... was your run flatter than parkrun maybe? Possibly nervous energy in a group? Maybe not the best time of day for you yet?
Unless you have any straight lines on your run map, Strava is pretty accurate. So maybe a few factors added together and made you over a minute faster on pace... do I think thatβs reasonable? Yes, very much so. Great run.
*Think I might pop out and get me some new shoes*
Brilliant Gingernutter! Whatever the cause, you just smashed that run in a fabulous time! πππ
Cheers Cheeky! That's why I questioned it, too good to be true I thought. Might be because I popped Sanjeev back on today for a change maybe he spurred me on! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
All GPS devices can give erratic results. You will only know when you repeat the run under similar conditions.
I often ran with Runkeeper on my phone alongside a running watch and most of the time they agreed with each other, but I do remember one occasion when Runkeeper, erroneously, notified each kilometre at about 800metres, so the two diverged dramatically over a 5k run. Nobody has ever manage to explain that one to me.............. technology.........
I want go faster shoes too!ππ
