Graduation run
Congratulations... that 30 5k will come, let it come to you, don’t push too hard, but embrace slightly longer endurance building runs and some speed sessions. First... celebrate... cheers 🍻

Keep running, keep smiling.
Congratulations and happy running. Well done, it’s not easy, but you’ve done it. Breaking the 30 min 5K is a great feeling. I’ve done it a few times but I’m a long way off it at the moment. I’ll keep training.
Congratulations on completing the programme. Good luck with your running going forward, have fun.
Well done! As a fairly recent graduate I agree with the comments above about hitting 30 minutes for 5k. It is good to have a target, but I don't think that a 30 min 5k is significant in itself. It isn't a "pass/fail" test which has to be achieved. As a silver runner I took advice from people on the forum and I found that slowly building up distance, mixed with shorter runs, automatically led to a steady improvement in times without my having to push too hard (like I have a choice!!). My best 5k time after graduating is 34:03, but that is a minute and half better than the preceding week. Touch wood I haven't had any significant injuries, so plan keep up the steady approach. Probably view this if differently if I was 26!
Thanks for all the comments and advice. My wife has just started the plan so I’ll be repeating it with her and give a parkrun a go
