Tomorrow’s Week1Run1

I’m fed up of sitting on my couch and am planning to go out tomorrow morning for my very first run.

I hope I get to week 9 but let’s just keep it in the day!😅😣 any motivational tips or words of wisdom would be much appreciated

The hardest bit of this plan is tomorrow... you gotta get your butt off the couch and out there and then run. If you can do day one, you can do week 9. Trust me on that one... my runs are easier now.

Keep hydrated, run slow, relax and believe in yourself... when the little voice in your head says “you can’t do this” give it two choice words and carry on. You can do this.

Enjoy it but don't try to run too fast!

My run is slower than my brisk walk

But who cares, I'm giving it a go!

W3R3 tomorrow 🏃👍🏃👍🏃👍

I've just done W2R2 and it is hard work, but every time you complete a run you feel so proud of yourself, I'm proud of you for taking this step

The self pride you will get from yourself for doing every run is unreal. It will challenge you but that's why these forums are so good. The advice and motivation you get is next to none. Everyone on this forum has been there, nearly there or thinking about

There. Take it at your own speed and don't think about week 9. Your thought is week 1 run 1. After that it's run 2 and so on.

Woohoo, getting started!

Listen to all the advice... go slow, leave a rest day (or more if needed) between each run, go slower, don't worry about distance, go slower still, stretch and strengthen, don't push beyond the day's run even if you've got energy left, listen to your body! :) And keep posting here!
