First run where I had continuous stitches, any tips? Found it harder mentally but completed it. I'm writing this a day later so my next run is tomorrow! Two 10 minute runs, hope I ace it!

Now that I think about it I ate an hour before running, and could feel the food hadn't settled. Silly me!

That’ll be it... fast food (no, not McDonald’s) only in the two hours before!

Are you breathing "rhythmically" as you run?? I used to get side stitches when I ran - until learned to breathe rhythmically and practiced it . Now I cannot run in any other way and NEVER get stitches .

I think that might be it... when I get the stitches I start to breathe better but I don't think I practice proper breathing technique all the time. Thanks!

I"m no expert but I think it has something to breathing more air than you expel. Trying breathing in then breathing out in two goes, if that makes sense, to take the strain off the diaphram. And keep up the good work, it gets easier!
