As above today I have been feeling a bit sorry for myself regarding a bit of an ear infection.I'm now feeling guilty that I should have just got on with it like I have done previously when I thought I had a cold early on in the course. The thing I am most worried about is the fitness I have gained in the 7 weeks I have done so far. I don't want to lose too much or any fitness.

Firstly get well soon! I don't think you will lose fitness that quickly.... and it's probably better to do a run when you are feeling better and maybe do it "better" for want of a better word than run feeling awful, have a bad run and feel bad about it.

You won’t lose fitness quickly, you wouldn’t lose any in a couple of weeks off even. Well done getting this far, the next run is ready when you are.
