Like so many others, I am feeling very nervous about W4 R1 which I plan to do tomorrow morning. I've not had too much trouble so far, especially since I bought a knee support, and am jogging very gently. However the jump from 3 mins to 5 mins seems an awful lot! It's on my mind all the time, and we've got folk coming round for a drink tonight, and I'll have to stick to water, which may be difficult!! Wish me luck! And any tips gratefully received.

You can do it! And you will!

Good luck and have a nice run, even if difficult ;)

Believe in the program and just do your best! Slow and steady!

Good luck. I completed my week 4 run 1 last night. Like you was worried about the jump to 5mins but was surprised to find it wasn't as hard as I thought. I just kept breaking it down to one min or 90 secs runs in my head. Ended up going quite fast ( for me) for the last 36 secs when I knew I had it nailed.

Thank you for your replies and encouragement. I did it this morning with no problems at all, and like you, Bonsaiboy, I speeded up on the last run. I was running rather than jogging. I almost started to enjoy it too!!

Well done. It feels great when those mental barriers are broken down. I'm still at the light jog stage. I'm 52 so worried about pushing too hard at this earlier stage. good luck like you I'm enjoying it too now.

Well, I'm nearly two decades older than you, so I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself! When I say running, I really mean a slightly faster jog. I too am taking it very carefully especially as I've had a knee problem.
