So that's the first run done, nice gentle start I think, no doubt it's going to get more difficult. Unfortunately my phone died with the app running so not sure if I totally stuck to the timings, does anyone know if the podcast is any better in terms of battery life?

They’re much of a muchness... don’t think the app uses gps, certainly doesn’t track and log it. You could pop into airplane mode for it I guess

Neither the app or the podcast are particularly power hungry, although the podcast, being an mp3 file is going to consume less power.

I preferred the podcasts. There were some glitches with the app when I did it but that was 4+ yrs ago
