Week 4 complete - half way there! An odd thing - my app is only 8 weeks long, anyone think that is an issue??

Hi Jen I finished week 4 this morning! Next week is going to be a proper challenge I think, especially the R3 switch up, but I feel ready for it. How about you?

I agree it’s going to be a real challenge!! Mind you I was worried about the 5min runs and those were fine - so I’m trusting in the process and am gonna do my best. I feel sooo... much better than I did just 4 weeks ago - so I guess anything can happen!!

Yeah, the difference is really noticable, and what I love is that I’m enjoying the routine and looking forward to run days!

Well done.

There are many variants of C25K and you are welcome regardless of which you are doing. This forum was set up to provide support for those doing the NHS C25K programme and the newer One You app, both of which take nine weeks to complete with a graduation requirement that you run three thirty minute runs.

Your app obviously will get you to graduation quicker, but it's requirements may be different.

To be awarded the graduate status on this forum, it is the 3x30 minute runs that you need to complete.

Hi - the App I’m using seems to have me doing slightly more than 30 mins - so today’s was 34 and week 5 run 2 is 36 - so I guess that’s where the push is harder and gets to 5km in 8 weeks. My question really is whether from a training perspective this more aggressive approach is a good thing or it’s better to take longer over it.

Slightly different app it seems... not to worry you will meet the graduation requirements by the sounds of it. One will make you fitter faster than the other, the other will make you stronger at the end... but you’ll be consolidating anyway so all roads lead to runner!

Good job so far.
