Finished week 7 today ....2 weeks to go. I don't know about others but I have found the longer runs quite tough. I feel tempted to give up and walk after say 5-10 mins but have managed to keel going each time. Interested to know if that's experienced by others? Anyway still feel good about the plan and committed to complete. Might be more interesting to see what happens after that! Tuesday scheduled for Wk8R1
Week 7 complete: Finished week 7 today ....... - Couch to 5K
Week 7 complete
Stick with it, you are doing great.
I well remember finding the last few weeks of C25k quite a hard slog, but I was running too fast, I now know.
Just keep it nice and steady and you will cross the finish line just the same.
I’m on week 9 day 2 so nearly finished and have just run for longer than they tell me to (35 whole minutes!) but definitely find the first 3-5 minutes a killer - I think I try and go off too fast and then have a minor panic that I can’t breathe! Just have to calm myself down and listen to my music and then am generally ok after that
Slow it down and relax into the runs... start slow, stay slow...you are doing well... just have confidence in yourself... and trust the plan!
You’re doing great - I found it was mind over matter on some runs - you can do this 👍👍😊😊. I imagine all the lovely people on this forum running alongside me and encouraging me on when the going gets tough. Good luck. Keep us updated- we’re cheering you on 👏🏎🏁
I'm the same as you. Starting week 8 tomorrow and finding the longer runs tough going, I kind of enjoyed the bit of variety and "recovery time" of walking and running. Haven't looked yet to see how long week 8 runs are...6 more to go!!
Great job.
The temptation to walk is the doubt that you can run it... as you’re proving though, you’re stronger than Mr Doubt. He will be back... kick his ass again.
Hello
I am on to Week 7R1 tomorrow I had a go at incorporating Week 6 R3 into 5K park run ie I walked the 5 mins before Park run and then did 10 run Walk three and 10 run and then after that did my own thing running and walking to complete 5 k I did about 37 mins It was tough as not used to 5K aching a bit today I am wondering if I complete week 9 I will be able to run the whole of 5K Any similar experiences? I will continue to incorporate Park run
