Knee Pain
It could do... I wore a knee brace at one stage, but I’d seen a nurse and my GP first.
If it has been painful for a while, please do go and get it checked out
I had knee pain whilst running last year, I got knee supports but I also looked into running styles and when I changed my style it helped.
Would be worth getting it checked out though to be on the safe side.
All the above advice is important but bear in mind that the impact of running takes a while for your body to get used to.
To reduce the impact slow down, avoid heelstriking, keep footfall under your body not out in front, run on grass or treadmill and wear proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.
Strapping works for some.
What week are you in? The inside of my right knee has been sore since my third run, when it swelled up, I'm now W4. Running slower, anti inflammatories, raising the limb and rest all help. It's noticeably achey if I push it, needing more than 2 days break, run slow and I don't notice it at all.
I started to get knee pain around week 4. I was advised to invest in decent running shoes and a gait analysis- which I did. No knee pain since...

Thank you all, have been to docs with rest, ibuprofen it slowly healed.... then returned. Was on week three run three, hobbling at moment no chance off running, it was improving, then I went for walk and it’s as bad as ever. Will look into gait stuff.
