Reached week 8 but haven’t ran in 2 months do i start from the beginning? I struggled with week 8 which demotivated me, I found myself making excuses not to run so should I stick to the runs I actually enjoy?

Have not read or know your story.

Looked briefly at your joy and pleasure of your week 5 experience.

Hold that close. You know what you are capable of.

Now just go out and run at your happy pace and get through your toxic ten.Slow down until you get yourself comfortable and you have settled into your breathing and happy pace.

10-15 mins, who cares, it’s a start and come away feeling as you did on your week 5.3 , 20 minute run.

Just build up from a suitable point in the adaptive C25k programme.

So what if you decide to repeat it from the beginning.

Just give yourself this gift and keep coming to the forum for your motivational magic and helping others too with your gems.

Enjoy it all and do not put any pressure on yourself.

Hope this helps you and you find what you need.

🌟👏👏

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it is full of tips.

To answer your question, it all depends what you are aiming at by doing C25K.

If you want to be able to run for thirty minutes and longer, then you obviously have to work your way through the plan and get W8 and W9 behind you and although they may be a struggle, in time running for that duration will become much easier.

If you only want to regularly run for shorter durations then that is significantly better for your health than not running at all.

The recommendation for exercise is 150 minutes of heart rate raising exercise each week.
