I did Week 6 run 1 last night, 1st 5 minutes felt ok, done the walk, felt trying to start the next 8 minutes i really had to push myself to go again, completed the whole run, but this morning my legs feel like they belonged to someone else, trying to get downstairs was bad, calf muscles went back to normal after been walking about for a few minutes.
Thankfully only 1 interval run left, found the 20 minutes not to bad, even completed a full 5K park run (very slowly took me 44 minutes to complete), why is the interval runs so hard to get going once stop for the walk.
I trust the programme so i'm going to keep

Keep those legs loose all day. Those intervals in that infamous run are difficult, you got through them, and now you’re almost at the just running stage that was the whole purpose of this... great job.
Bodies are designed to conserve energy; once you slow down you have to overcome that natural inertia again. Maybe slow to a light jog rather than a walk, so it’s not such a clash of paces ?
