Trying to take it slow and steady but already starting to feel i could do more and miss running on my rest days! I will stick to the program though 😀

Loads to do on those rest days... the core strength and stamina exercises are equally important...especially as the runs get longer.

Non-impact exercise too.. swim, walk, climb, or cycle.... do Yoga, Pilates.. Garden or clean the house from top to bottom...

Some of my rest days, I am busier than on my runs:)

Many of us have certain regimes for rest days to rid us of that surplus energy!

It is always good to feel you can do more... but the muscles need time for the micro-tears to heal :)

I'm doing upper body work at the gym and swim some of the rest days. I've gone from being an alcoholic, 4st overweight and with serious mental health problems to a balanced slightly fit person and lost 18lbs in just 2 months!!! Proves the point that anyone can do it as people told me when I was thinking about starting. The benefits are totally unbelievable!!! Once I got "I can" in my head instead of the old "I can't" Everything changed for me and I've come too far now to go back 😁
