Thanks for suggesting this as a follow on from C25K. I thought I would start from the beginning and at first was disappointed that it was only 20 min. I soon got into it and felt really good and finished on a high. Gonna do next run on Saturday and see how it goes 😀
Nike Run Club: Thanks for suggesting this as a... - Couch to 5K
Nike Run Club
They have guided runs up to 50 minutes or you can go on a plan which will last for 4 weeks to 6 months, and should start at your level.
Thanks. Do you know how I access the plan
Go on run, my coach, then there’s 3 plan options, if you go race, there’s options for 5k, 10k, half and full marathon
The race plans will get you ready for any given date up to six months away. You’ll need to know the date you want before setting the plan up. I will link mine to a parkrun... but it could be any day.
Thanks. I’ll take a look
Hi I have tried to link my plan to run 10k in November but I am a little confused. It has me doing 10 min runs which is 20 min less than currently. Sorry if I am being a bit thick but am I doing it wrong
Ok... that’s its default. Did you feed in your long run and “race” stats? If you did that correctly it should have you with all but benchmark runs in miles (or those kilo things)
That might be it. Will try again thanks
The more you tell it the better... weekly mileage is very important.
I think that was the problem. I think the difference also is that it measures runs by distance rather than time.
It’s a bit of a change... but you’ll be aiming at a distance, so it kinda makes more sense now.
Some runs will be short, and some (recovery and long) should be slow. Tempo is just a bit faster than your usual pace, and will be a shorter run. Speed sessions come at all different interval lengths and paces.
