So tonight I went for a run with best friend who is a much better runner than me, completed my run and then decided I’d try a few more 3 minutes runs, I managed another 6 3 minutes runs so all in all I managed 26 minutes of running 😀

Well done!!

Just don't burn yourself out. I dont know if you ran before but there is a clever progress in stamina that is correct to the body.

It was a one off, I shall be sticking to the programme on Friday for my final run, I may regret it tomorrow but felt lovely to push myself just a little bit

It’s nice to have the structure of the plan to follow, so even if I just do what the plan says for the next 5 weeks I’m happy, and if I feel like pushing myself now and again I know I can 😀

Ok... that should have given you all the self belief that you need. That’s great.

Go back to running the plan... it’s geared up to reduce the risk of injury, over running it can easily give you a muscle tear. You’ll get about half a stride of notice, there’s nothing you can do about it. Then it’s months off and start over, with a muscle that may never be 100% again.

So, good job... but be careful.

Yes I didn’t push too much and believe me my run is not very fast! Back to plan on Friday to finish week 3 then onto week 4

When you progress from this plan, you’ll meet the 10% rule... that’s the maximum increase in weekly mileage before risk goes through the roof. You just went way way way over 10%! Obviously we are all very pleased that your not on the IC. Go finish this, establish yourself and then push safely. You have all that this takes, evidently, but you can’t allow yourself to fall. My old running coach kicked my ass if I went under the time I was given by more than a few seconds.., I think he’d have killed me if I’d done the set workout and then done another couple of laps 😂

Ooops I didn’t think about the 10% rule, I totally forgot about that, maybe it was the sunshine messing with my brain!! Shall mentally slap myself and stop getting over excited 😂

😂 I feel the need to do it too... let’s see what I got left in the tank... so I make sure in my last minute the answer is that it’s empty!
