Cardio fitness

When I started just over 3 week's ago my fitbit told me my cardio fitness was "poor to fair" and today it's gone up to "fair". I'm gobsmacked! It might not look like much to most people but I'm so proud! If that's what can happen in 3 week's, imagine what I can do in 9.... 💪💪

Not sure about activity trackers they can be way off, even the gym machine don’t correlate to my Apple Watch ⌚️, does the fit bit take into consideration weight, height, hydration BMI?, as how can it tell who is fit or not?

It uses height, weight and heart rate to measure resting heart rate (which has lowered since starting also) and recovery time after raised heart rate. I know it's nothing magical but it's an indicator if nothing else

I have one of those smart scales that send a signal and can measure hydration, bone mass, calories, BMI, muscle density or something, body fat, and it can tell you if you are obese or under weight I am just wondering how these devices actually work and how acetate they are?!,? 🤔

I am guessing the coloured bar charts in the gym that relate to ones age and what there heart rates should be also do a similar job of telling one what their fitness levels are like, I just know from experience and what gym instructors have told me that they are not always accurate or correlate with each other, the matrix tread mill told me I had done .0.6 miles less then my Apple Watch ⌚️ for example and the cheap fit bits are so off I can’t imagine to tell you how bad they were, one day it said I had done 100’s of steps laying in bed 😆, apparently an apple store colleague said a lady did not set the right height or gait impendance or something and this women set her height for that of an ant 🐜 by accident by the time she had left the store she had done 1,000’s of steps apparently 🤣
