I am really happy despite the weather wasn’t good and I just about to skip today, but I glad I didn’t. It wasn’t raining heavily so that was a good sign. So pleased and also feels good as well even though it will take a while to get my weight down. I’m 5ft4 but weighs about 12 stones, so need to get down about 2 stones I think.
Yay! Completed week 1!: I am really happy... - Couch to 5K

From one newbie to another: well done! Or as Laura says: 'Give yourself a pad on the shoulder!'

Great job! You can complete this programme with your weight, and it will start to come down at some point. Just keep on running and tweak the diet a little if you need to. When you get to 20 minutes and above of running, have a look at run fuelling foods... you may well find something that you already love but a nine runner would see as “bad” food... that way you can eat that treat on run days without having it put weight on.
Yeh exactly lol!
