Been doing the NHS Strength & Flex program on the days between my C25K runs. So I run on Mon, Wed, Fri and S&F on Tue, Thur, Sat. Sunday is a total rest day. I find that they work very well together. Just completed W7R2 this morning.

I've just started doing this but I find S&F soooooo boring that I am still mucking about on week 1. I only do it about once a week. Need to get that corrected.

I understand what you mean re boring. I found that too, and it was soooo slow as Laura talked through the exercises on the podcast. I did a couple of things to resolve that once I got to the 5th week. I amended and memorised the session to make it faster and more challenging, I stopped listening to the podcast as it was driving me nuts and I have my own playlist that I listen to while doing it. I always do this outdoors, rain or shine, and you may see from the pictures that I have a nearby children's play area that is perfect for the exercises. I dread to think what the dog walkers, swans & squirrels must think of me though!

Top montage work there! The boats suggest you might have gone for a quick sail in the middle :) There is a Strength and Flex forum on here, might be nice to post over there!

Thank you - I'd love to jump into one of those boats sometime but alas I just look at them as I go through my routine on the Quayside! I'll check out the S&F forum, tx for the heads up.

You look very professional, I am sure passers by and the swans are very impressed! Well done for keeping up the routine. I used to do the same. Run one day, with the dog attached and then walking the dog and stopping to do the exercises on other days. Logs, tree stumps and branches instead of a bench and railings! You have inspired me to try and get back to that routine, thank you! All the best. PS I used to live in Dorset!

Wow - thanks for your kind comments, I've never been called professional before! Sounds like we are both pretty adept at finding outdoor "items" to train with! I hope you get back into the routine - let me know how you get on. Fab that you used to live in Dorset, I love it here.
