So I did get started!

Thanks for all the encouragement. I completed Session 1 of week 1 today. Husband was actually very sweet about it. Teenage daughter’s comment on my outfit was “seriously that’s just so wrong on so many levels, i don’t know where to begin!” But fashion catastrophe aside it feels so good just to have made a start - 8 minutes of running! Hooray 😁

Well done!!

Ignore the fashionistas. They know nothing. And she'll be as pleased as punch when you graduate :-)

That's the hardest part out of the way - going out of the door for the first time. Keep going, and good luck!

Pleased you got out there. As to the clothes, well....I was extremely clashingly colourful this morning. Make a statement. 🙂

Brilliant. Well done you. Getting started is definitely the hardest bit.

I have a confession to make - I bought a new pair of running shoes today - WITHOUT SEEKING MY DAUGHTER'S APPROVAL first :D

Its taken almost 18 months of running for me to have the confidence to ignore her fashion police approach (I've been on the end of a severe tongue lashing several times during my running journey). She's away for another few days ... hope she isn't too harsh when she gets back :D :D :D

Dude... We were fashionable when fashion itself didn't know what was fashionable. Ignore her.

Well done, our children can be harsh cant they😂. My 6 yeat old runs with me sometimes and he's always commenting to the dog 'we will just wait here again!' And ' mummy cant help it shes old'. When I come home proud of my self my husband usually just grunts. But ive started to enjoy my runs, its was only about week 7 that I got out my old joggys and into a pair of leggings. 😌. You go for it 👍

Well done for starting the programme👍😊. Enjoy the sense of achievement you’ll get with each run and ignore the fashion advice- she’ll soon be cheering you on - whatever you’re wearing 😊🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
