Hi I'm a 30 year old looking to improve my fitness and lose weight I can't see me being able to do it but I'm about to go out and do my first night can someone tells me how it works how many times a week you have to do it thanks in advance I look forward to learning more about you all x

Follow the programme and you’ll love it. Three runs a week, with a days break between each run. Take it run by run and don’t look too far ahead.

You mention two things. How it works - Shakeywakey has answered that one. But why do you think you won’t be able to do it? If you can walk for 30 minutes at a reasonable pace you can start couch to 5k. Each week’s training prepares you for the next week, so you only need to be ready for week 1 and as I say if you can manage a brisk 30 minute walk, and haven’t been told by a doctor not to run, then you’re ready. If that sounds like the majority of the population could do it if they wanted - yes that’s right, they could. Just follow the plan.
I’m in the same boat. 31 and looking to lose weight. Not lost anything from just running and I’m on week 6. But it had more than made up for in the vast improvement of my fitness and mental attitude! Some days I feel like I’ve conquered the world. A real buzz. Just joined slimming world and hoping that the combination of the will start to shift the pounds. Good luck on you journey x
I joined slimming world and then added some exercise. Lost over 2.5 stones which made me brave enough to start this programme. Got W1R2 under my belt last night and inspired to hear you’re on wk 6. SW and exercise is the best thing I’ve ever done and will def shift the pounds. Good luck! X
Hi I'm 37 and I think everyone feels the same but just trust the plan it really works. I'm doing weight watchers along side and I've lost 2 stone in 3 months and I'm almost at my goal weight. You can do this. I feel the fittest I've been since I was 17. No more being tired from just going upstairs. X
Follow the sound advice from all these wonderful people and read all the links for advice. Although I’ve only completed Wk1R2 and resting until I feel ready to complete week 1, I feel awesome. If I only ever complete wk1 it’s still a giant achievement but with the support of this group and determination to be the best that I can be I know I can do more. I thought I was going to die after run 1, but had big smile on my face last night after the second, still running baby, baby steps. Looking forward to hearing how you get on. X
Thanks everyone for the advice I'm going to look I to slimming world alongside it.done my first run last night and felt like I would die lol but when I started I could only run about 30 seconds but by the end I was doing the full 60 seconds and feels great 😁doing my seco d run on Saturday I'll let your know how I get on

I won't even say I thought I couldn't do it, I knew I wouldn't do it. Like I wasn't even upset about it or negative, I just knew it was something that I would never be able to do. My plan was to just go until I hit the natural wall of my abilities and couldn't do it anymore.
Today I ran my second day of running 30 straight minutes. Pretty effortlessly, actually. Not particularly quickly, but easily. And I'm old enough to have been your teenage babysitter.
I don't even have to know you to know you can do this. I would be hard-pressed to think of anyone who couldn't. Barring a physical disability that truly affected mobility*, I would encourage anyone. No matter age, weight, physical fitness. the pace of the program makes it manageable yet challenging at the same time. You've got this!
*And I with encourage them with something else 😊
