24th June: W1R1 - Started C25K and found it challenging to run for 1 min straight without feeling out of breath.
Fast forward >>>>>
14th Aug: W9R1 - Ran πββοΈfor a straight 30 mins and whilst tired, am feeling ecstatic!!! π
In just 8 weeks, I have actually run for 30mins and covered 3.5k. For someone who NEVER ran her entire life, that is nothing short of a miracle!!!
I've persevered through breathlessness, feeling like I was going to die, shin splits, horrific arch-pain, knee-niggles and have survived through it all........there have been times where I felt like giving up, but the amazing support here kept me going.
Well-meaning advice, suggestions, ideas, challenges, motivation, understanding.....and most of all the willingness to support and help one another.......it's all here and it's what makes C25K such a fantastic programme.
If I can get this far......ANYONE can!!!
Week 9....I have arrived!!!! πππ2 more runs to get to the prizeππ ....eeekks!!!!π±π±
Yay Hotheels, youβre so close to the podium and that shiny badge! Youβve done amazingly well and I hope youβre the proudest youβve felt for a long time!
Canβt wait for your graduation post - plus pic if you can! Weβre all here cheering you on, and you are absolutely, totally, going to smash W9!
Go woop it upside the head Hotheels! πββοΈπββοΈππππ»ππ»πππͺπ»πͺπ»
Awww, I know just how you feel! I was the same way. In fact I had butterflies the day before my graduation run! What on earth has running done to us?!! π πββοΈπβ€οΈ
Hah!!! I'm working right up to Thursday....we fly on Friday morning. And my first thoughts about the holiday are.....we'll check into the hotel, I'll get the unpacking done and kids settled and then I'll go for a wander to check out whether I can plot a suitable running route.........
I've become one of those people who WANT to run no matter where they are.......lol!!!!πππ€£π€£ππππ
We would've laughed if anyone had even suggested such a thing whilst on holiday a mere 8 weeks ago........now look at us!!!πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπππππ
I didn't believe it was possible for me run 5mins in my early weeks.....but Here I am today.......sweating and extremely happy and proud that I've run a full 30mins nonstop in week 9.
Trust in the programme......you'll definitely get there and smash it!!!πππ
Thank you!!! Yes.....it's been an amazing journey so far!!!! A real eye-opener in certain areas........and I'm hoping this is simply the beginning of a long and passionate affair with running!!!π
Just seen your post - sorry I didnβt reply at the time! Iβm so glad it helped, I thought it wasnβt βhardβ enough to do anything when I got mine, but it has made the difference to my ability to run. I should finish Week 8 on Saturday, then itβs on to Week 9 ... gulp!
Ah Gaz......it's guys like you who welcomed me with open arms when I tentatively started and made me feel secure in pushing boundaries........I'm at Week 9 only because you've been cheering me all along!!!!
