If you'd have told me I could not only start running at my age but actually ENJOY it I wouldn't have believed you. I've never done anything sporty since school (hated netball, hockey, athletics) but decided to improve my fitness before reaching 70. Each week I think the following week will be too hard but so far I haven't had any problems. I'm going to complete the 9 week c25k before doing parkrun.

Good for you, well done 👍😃

It’s really fun and Parkrun is a joy Lots to look forward to. Just go nice and slowly and all will be well. We say that to all new runners irrespective of age 🙂

Brilliant, well done 👍👍👍.

Follow the programme and each week may push you a bit, but you will not only complete it, the satisfaction you'll get is amazing.

Good running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Never too old, I'm a tad older than you, and there are many older than us here. Yes running is great, I'm totally addicted, and suffering withdrawal symptoms at the moment as I've not been 100%, but will get out there tomorrow, I'm determined. Enjoy the journey, it goes really quickly, I was in shock when I suddenly found I'd graduated!

Happy running, I feel fitter (not right now, but generally), stronger, healthier, and added bonus slimmer since I started. I think I smile more too, maybe 🙂.

Each week is so well structured that you will find, as you already have, that you are well prepared for the next one. Go for it Montymun, we're all winners here, you are a winner too, because we got off that couch and ran. 🎉🌻

Very good job so far! The app claims we can do it, they don’t tell us we will enjoy it too, they keep that as a surprise! Your local parkrun will love you. Happy running.

Fabulous! You’re going to sail through to graduation with that positive attitude! The health benefits are huge and I’ve found myself feeling so much more energetic. It’s magical, this programme!

Have a blast and don’t forget to report back to us with your progress! 😅🏃‍♀️👍🏻👏

Likewise I have 2 more runs to complete it. Looking forward to it but the weather is changing here so may have to look at alternatives such as a gym (I’m unsure about running in the rain). 🙂
