Graduated in May and 5k Race for Life for June. Still enjoying running 2-3 times a week but have no great ambition to run longer distances. More importantly have now been off anti-depressants for 6 months. Running really has changed my life, hopefully for the long term.

Thank you. I'm 56 and thought I was too old to run until I found this forum.

I am 56 too :) A great age for running (it turns out) I graduated last year and still run 3 times a week. I have done a couple of 10ks but find it hard to find the time to run long distances regularly- as I am slow!

Still like you, I am really happy with where I am and have really enjoyed physical and psychological benefits :)

Who says you have to run longer distances? How many people are running 2-3 times a week? Stick with what works for you as you've seen the benefits.

I’m 56 too and I still aim for 3-4 times a week I try my hardest to run 5k but hey who cares I’m still enjoying doing what I’m doing x

Yes enjoying running is the main thing. Us 'oldies' are pretty impressive!

That’s great news on the antidepressants, it’s great to see running make such a difference. Also great to see graduates come back with inspiring updates for those of us working through the plan.

Thank you. Improvement in mental health is an added bonus. Hope to be able to keep up the running during the challenging winter months.
