Week 6 run 1.

A very different run today. First run on a completely different route to my usual country roads. Arrived in London yesterday at mums and went for a run around a bit of Victoria Park this morning. A damn sight more eye candy than my usual run ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ. It felt very busy compared to my usual route however nobody even gave me a second look unlike the country folk I pass who usually give me a sympathetic nod!

Anyway....it was actually a very comfortable run at my fastest time and I covered 4.7k ๐Ÿ˜„ but the terrain is so completely different to the usual hilly roads that Iโ€™m used. In comparison this was extremely flat and felt dare I say (easy!๐Ÿ™Š....whispered that so the gremlins couldnโ€™t hear it) so maybe all those slight inclines have done me a favour!?

Either way going to make the most of it with another run on Monday ๐Ÿ˜Š

After hearing all the horror stories about week 6, I was pleasantly surprised. But now Iโ€™m wondering which is THE run that will trip me up!? Surely everyone always has one???

Well, thereโ€™s lots of paths and lots of experience in all of them from what Iโ€™ve seen.

Well done. You definitely notice the hills when they arenโ€™t there. Enjoy the next one.

Aww ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿฝ really hoping so. Feeling relatively ok so far ๐Ÿ™‚ more comfortable with breathing and things as I go on

Must admit am very pleased to be living in Cambridgeshire while I take on the challenge of c25k. There's no hills here. Feel I have it so much easier than others

Maybe Strava is lying to me!? My last one was 4.1km for wk5 run 3 the 20min one.

5 mins per K is very fast at this stage... you are clearly very fit.. :)

More like 7 and half mins ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I donโ€™t know what any of it really means but Iโ€™m guessing itโ€™s still slow!! ๐ŸŒ ๐ŸŒ

Distance 4.7km

Pace 7:33/km

Time 35:37

Does your distance include your walks Dee?

Yes it does

That explains it . I think Oldfloss thought youโ€™d run 4k in 20 mins . I think most people start Strava after the 5 minute walk and switch it off at the end of the run. But it doesnโ€™t really matter at this stage. You are aiming for 30 minutes run in W9 and that is what is most important, not pace. You are doing really well and good luck with the next few weeks

Yes I realised that I probably hadnโ€™t explained that well! Never mind! ๐Ÿ™‚

No worries. Getting used to the tech is as bad as getting used to running, but I think I started on Strava at W9.

You put us all to shame!! I barely cover 3.3k and I avoid hills/inclines like the plague.......still end up huffing and puffing and as bright red as a ๐Ÿ…!!!

Seriously though....you're totally owning it!!! Those countryside runs have definitely held you in good stead!!!

Nothing is going to trip you up....you're going to breeze through W6, W7 and W8......and before you know it, you'll be on the podium with a 5k under your belt!!!๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ…

Go you, superstar!!!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Wow ok!! I had no idea that I was making any kind of decent time.....just felt very slow apart from my last run!! Hmmmm Iโ€™ll see how the rest of the weeks go. Thank you so much for your kind words, youโ€™re ace ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚
