I did it!

I had my first session today! And I finished it! :) Probably my walk between 2 sessions of run was too slow but I never stopped.

It was a big step because I have always hatted running but I want to be more healthy!

However, it was hard and I have doubt about the fact of being able to run 30min without stop in 9 weeks...

Way to go! You certainly did do it... that huge step to get up off the couch and get fit. Well done.

Everybody struggles with that first run, it’s mean as you have no idea how fast to go and survive a minute.

What will happen now is while you rest, and the reason you shouldn’t skip a rest day, is your muscles go into a repair and build phase. Tiny little fibre tears are fixed and strengthened, so you arrive at the next run a little bit fitter and a little bit stronger. This plan is geared up for that and has been devised and modified for that strengthening to keep you progressing. Trust the plan, it’s tried and tested. Stop doubting yourself, and you’ll surprise yourself. You can do this and with the right focus, you will do this.

Me too eelleenn!! Found I’d underestimated the distance required. Next run on Wednesday at a slower pace. Sounds to me your pace was spot on. Congratulations 😀

Well done!!! Great start. 😀👍🏻

And yes you will be able to run 30 minutes by the end. We’ve all said the same, and hey presto it just happens!

Have tons of fun! 🏃‍♀️👍🏻❤️
