Hi all. Currently about to do wk 6. To help me monitor my progress, I have started using Strava and recorded my last four runs. However, the data doesn’t make sense sometimes, ie average speed of 8.2km per hour but only covered 3.7 km in 34 mins? My maths tells me that is an average of 6.5kmh. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I doing something wrong?
Not too worried about the slow speed (49yo, fat and not run for 20years!!!!) but not sure whether to trust the app

Hi Dottyf. Yes, counted the walks, and trying to make sense of the analysis. But glad to hear it makes no sense sometimes! I’ll keep using it though as I like mapping my runs and keeping a clear record 😁
I can't help with the maths but I use strava every run. I find it great, except that it can encourage you to run faster and faster. I kept trying to beat my PB and marked sections until I realised the injury risk. Take your time and don't get too carried away with the stats.
