W2R2 - no earphones :-(

Got ready to run today only to find that one of my kids had half-inched my earphones on her way out, so had to run without sound. Surprised at how much harder it is with nothing else to focus on. On the plus side, what an absolutely gorgeous day - cold, but perfect for running. 5 down 22 to go. Loving it so far, even if I have done it before!

  • Well done. Keep plugging away and you'll be fine. Slow but sure, no hurry 🙂

  • Your first "naked" run? I remember my first time without Laura - I really missed her and even had a tear in my eye at the lack of the dreaded Julie. (I didn't really care!)

  • Actually as this is my second time around I'm not using Laura - the timer on my phone and my own playlist of good music work well enough. I did miss the music yesterday, though.

  • `I did the first 2 weeks without Laura, I hadn't got round to downloading the podcasts... I carried my phone which vibrated at the end of each section to tell me to walk or run, my only concern was that I might drop the phone..

  • I used Laura for the first six weeks or so first time around, but found her choice of music becoming more of a hindrance than a help.

  • I use my own music - at the moment it's Shania Twain or Bo Walton

  • A while ago I had an issue with my playlist stopping after a couple of songs. I agree, I found it so hard to run without any sound! Led to me fumbling around while running with my running belt to try and get it started again. You did well to do a whole run without sound!
