After what seemed like great advancement running on treadmill on holiday cruise, first day back on the road hit a "brick wall" at 8 minutes and had to stop.
No energy, couldn't get my breath nor rhythm.
Not looking for excuses but picked up "cruise cough" on holiday and have a bit of a tight chest.
So disappointed.

Boooo John, what a shame, but you’ll be back on form before you know it. My last run (W8R2) was hideous. I didn’t walk, but I certainly felt like it in the first 7 minutes. I’d hiked nearly 4 hours up a mountain the previous day and really should have had an extra rest day. But no. 🙄
Good luck next time out - you’ll smash it I’m sure! 💪🏻
Everyone has a rubbish run from time to time, your tight chest won’t have helped. You got out there and that’s better than not having a go, be better next time!
Oh John, you did great on your hols ~ hold onto that, and try not to be too disappointed about today's run 😊 Take care of that chest as well, you will ease yourself back in to those runs in no time 👊😊
Chest always a bit dodgy after a cruise, I think it's living with constant air conditioning for two weeks. Going to Vick the soles of my feet, seems to clear it. 😀
