Week 4 done!

Just back from run 3 week 4. Thought I would mix it up a bit tonight after w4 runs 1 and 2 being ok - and have run my usual circuit but the other way around. There are more inclines this way and I have to say that was tough!! I was on the verge of giving up so many times but I set myself small targets to keep going - just run to the next road/ lamp post etc. But I kept going and didn't give in. Now feeling fabulous, but not so sure I will repeat the run this way round again for a while!!! Yay me!!!!

I altered mine too to more inclined on wk 4 run 2 it broke me the first time but then I repeated that same run on the same circuit and I did it so maybe try it again you may surprise yourself and it will help in the long run or thats how I’m looking at it x

Thanks Jessie. I just looked at my times and I was actually a little quicker this time, so feeling even more pleased with myself now. Maybe I will try it again on a week 5 run

I have decided to repeat week 4 on the inclines to try and increase stamina, fingers crossed it works.

I like the idea of setting yourself targets to run to. If I'm really struggling I basically just remind myself to keep breathing and put one foot in front of the other over and over again until Laura tells me to stop.

I find it helps as by the time you reach the lamp post I feel that things aren't so bad and I then I can keep going until Laura congratulates me on how well I have done!
