And so after a long long time, and even longer to decide .... Week 1 run 1 done!!!! Forced to stop a couple of times as traffic in the summer is a bit heavy, and the puppy still does not know to avoid cars - but fortunately both times it happened during the walking part -
Great to hear Laura again too
I did take it really easy - run at the same pace as the walk if not slower, and avoided the uphills - knee holding up at the moment, time will tell...
Edit: the puppy training was a disaster by the way! I am trying to teach her not to pull - works k

Aww bless, it must be strange training a puppy at the same time, I am Sure it will have benefits as they need to progress slowly too don’t they? My friend who is a Vets assistant says there is a calculation for increases in walks for them to protect their joints as well. I’m sure you have a good running buddy In The making there 😀.
Hi IP, indeed the body reminds it - it's amazing!- before starrting the first 60 second run I,u thought was that - unfit as I am - i would have felt really out of breath but that did not happen - and I realized later that the reason was that my body remembered that going slow is the trick! At the end of the 20 minutes of wal-run-walk I was as fresh as at the start (well, nearly!)
