Oh dear, I wasn't ready for that. Three minutes is a long run. I had to slow down and walk four paces after two mins and then go again. Feel a bit of a failure.

Definitely not a failure - you got out there and ran 👍🏻😊

3 minutes is hard... 3 minutes at 100% leaves top athletes gasping for breath and we need to learn to run at 80%. So, no, you’re not a failure, you are a victory.

Three minutes is a long run!

You are on no level a failure. Take what you said literally: You weren't ready for that. Okay! So you showed your body what you're going to expect from it next time, and you will be ready. You can do it.

Maybe start slower. I look at it this way: if I start slow, I can always speed up later. If I start too fast, I'll burn myself out long before I finish. Consider it, the slowing down. I had to read it about fifty times before it sank in that maybe I should slow down. (I thought I was ALREADY running so slow. )

I’ve just done w3 and it is a big difference doubling running time to 3 minutes. My body definitely found it harder BUT it’s supposed to and next time won’t be as hard - promise! It’s when you think that you’re not making progress that you are actually making the most - as long as you keep going. WELL DONE YOU!!

You are NOT a failure. How can you be when you’re out there running? So what if you walked a few steps? My running pace is hardly any faster than my walking pace and slow is best for now. I plan on running faster when I’ve built up the time. Have read on here so many times about going slower than a very slow thing!! Good luck. Keep going - you can do it.

Don’t be hard on yourself. You got off the couch 🛋 ! Just start slower next time to leave some energy till the end.

Not what you're looking for?
