So I went out today in the rain and did my run. I ran along a road into town (It's bout 5k into town) which I used for early runs n walk regurally i was amazed that what takes me 35 mins as a fast walk took me 23 mins to run. I also managed to get to what I think is my happy pace. Was a great run

Way to go! 23 minutes seems forever away for me, I just started, but posts like yours inspire me. We got this.

I totally struggled with running for 1 min when I started in April it's taken slightly longer than 8wks to get here as I repeated some runs and nearly gave up but I've stuck with it and along with running 3 times a wk and metafit once a wk walking when ever i get the chance and a strick diet I have lost 20kg and have tonnes more energy. I can not stress how much c25k has changed me and my life. You will get here too. Just remember slow and steady wins the race. X

That sounds like such a happy run. 😀 I love it when I find my happy pace. It’s nice just to pootle along without trying to figure out breathing etc. I’ve only done two ‘long’ runs to date, W5R3 and W6R3, but I was able to find it (of sorts) during both of those.

Isn’t running the best? And how quickly do we all get bitten by the bug? 😀 Me on a running forum? How did that happen?!!! 😅🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️😅

Have a lovely weekend and happy running. ❤️

Thank you. Well done to you too for your long runs!

Running is amazing esp as I was always the very fat kid at school n couldn't run to save myself but now I don't care I can run.

Have a great weekend and happy running too. 💜
