W6R2 Solid

I am repeating W6 after a short period off to allow a tight achilles to ease. Just completed W6R2 astoundingly easily. Felt good and strong all the way and had some reserves left by the end. Next up is 25mins none stop. Which was the one that caused the tight achilles in the first place. I think I will give it rwo days recovery before I attempt W6R3. Now I am 60yrs old I don't think my body recovers as quickly as when I was younger.

Well done! Take it slow but you can absolutely do this! 🏃🏻‍♂️

As a 68 yo, I agree with you about the time to recover. But that ain't gonna stop us now, is it? The only thing different is that we are not quite so fast as we were when in our youth.

Yeah you can do,it but slow things right down and you’ll nail the sessions

It’s all in the calves and they need time to adjust and strengthen which takes time Be patient 😃👍🏃‍♂️

Snap Falcn, did my R2 today too and, like you, found it remarkably easy compared to R1! I’m only a handful of years behind you too, so I know what you mean about recovery time.

I can’t wait for Thursday morning when I’ll be setting out on R3 - serious stuff now with no more walking! Hey, is that because we’re Runners now? 😀🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🙌

Look forward to hearing how your R3 goes! 😀
