So I finished my first week and I'm feeling pretty good about my progress so far - haven't done any real exercise in years so being able to complete even the first three runs on my first attempt (especially with how hot it's been!) has felt like a real achievement.
Will be starting the 2nd week a little delayed (will be 4 days since my last run due to life/work stuff) but hopefully I'll be able to complete W2R1 on my first attempt

Nice one. I found week 1 the hardest of the lot to be honest - my body didn’t know what the hell was going on and I was worried I might have a coronary. But the programme works, so keep going and good luck!
Thanks! Yeah had a similar experience on the first run and was still aching from it 2 days later lol I was really surprised how much better the second and third runs were by comparison.
Excellent! I definitely found W1 the hardest (on W5 now), and I could barely walk downstairs the next day. Now, apart from a lovely feeling of fatigue in my legs, which reminds me I’m now officially a Runner, they don’t hurt at all!
You’ll enjoy this programme, I’m sure. It’s very effective and you’ll find loads of advice on here should you need it. Everyone is so friendly.
