First week down , second week phew

Did my first week runs with my sister who is 10 years older than me. I thought the week was quite easy. Pushed her a little. Today I did the first run of second week alone. That was hard. Now I know how she felt. Next run will be together again and I will be much gentler with her. Know now how she must have been feeling.

Welcome back to the forum and well done on restarting.

You will maximise the development of your stamina and endurance at an easy conversational pace......there is no need to push harder.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Have downloaded the week by week spreadsheet, does look daunting as I am not a natural runner 🏃🏼‍♀️ but I am sure I will get there.

It is gently progressive and each run prepares you for the next one.

Relax and enjoy it.
