W6r2 and my right Achilles tendon gave way. Enforced rest until it means and then perhaps brisk walking instead of running. A pity as I was really getting into it. At least the hills will be easier to climb at walking pace.

Sorry to hear that you are broken. Hopefully a speedy recovery awaits.
Do you know why this happened? Is there something you could do differently to avoid this in the future?

Thank you for your sympathy. There is no apparent reason why this happened.
I run on forest tracks so it might have been the uneven ground, inclines, or increased distance.
Once healed I will resume with brisk walking and hopefully build up to running again however if their is the slightest hint of recurrence I will stick to the walking.

I had the same, left ankle. Lots of ice and anti imflammatories. I also bought inserts for my trainers but wear them in all my shoes. They really helped me, no pain at all when wearing them, but still sore in bare feet.
I rested it for a week and started out on flat route very gently.
Hope you're gets better soon.

I had the same (left side) as soon as I hit week 8. Full rest for a week then back to Week 6 R1. It’s better, but not 100% so I’m still on the shorter runs at the moment.

Sorry to hear this and know how you feel. The positive news is that you can stay with C25K a little longer I managed to cure my Achilles problems with custom made inserts and eccentric help drops. I hope the recovery goes well and don't give up.
