Being doing C25K for a while now but have newer passed another runner. Have been overtaken several times and find it a bit humiliating. So, was wondering what it like. Usually think you smug barsteward!

I've never overtaken anyone either, but I don't care. I just admire and aspire as they zoom past. I'm just so grateful I'm fit enough to give C25k a go after a couple of years of ill health. Let us know when you do zoom past someone and how it feels! It's got to happen one day...

Early one I was overtaken by my neighbour out walking his dog!! So embarrassing!

Hi Ang33333 Could not help laughing when I read that about your neighbour PASSING you when out WALKING his dog, was he power walking? perhaps but nothing to be embarrassed about, I did read elsewhere that a man in his 80's power walking passed quite a lot of runners in a recent 10k race somewhere in the United States. Now I'll tell you what I was up to today. It was two weeks ago today that I graduated and since then I have completed 4 full 30 minute runs, today I was a bit pressed for time and only ran 6* two minute runs just to keep my legs toned up, I'll be running my 5th and 6th final consolidation runs on Wednesday and Saturday. Perhaps after that I'll practice the 10% rule and try a 33-minute run, perhaps then I will be able to say that I ran 5K, if not the following week I will run for 36 minutes and finally get that elusive 5K. I have marked out where exactly 5K is on this traffic free route I know near to where I live, if I get 5k done I could go on to 6K and at the very most 7k, after that I would be on to main roads, bad enough cycling on them, I would never run on main roads.

He was walking fast but not power walking. He was in wellies. It was week 3 for me. We laugh about it now!

Take a shotgun with you in future, just in case it happens again.

You've overtaken all the people still on the couch! Those people who have overtaken you, they just run faster. They aren't better than you, it's not the same thing. We're all running!

Never feel humiliated! You are out there shifting along; be PROUD 😊

Lol I’ve had an elderly gentleman doing a moonwalk asking to join me while on my run! That was W7 too! 🤣

The speedy experienced ones have zoomed by and I just keep going, real slow and think...mmm...maybe one day. I really admire what they can do, but I’m so in love with what I can now do (and never thought possible) that I don’t care. Running fast, running slow, we’re running! Except for moonwalk man! He was just running his mouth! Wasnt offended. Like I said, don’t care! 🤣❤️
