I’m not or rather wasn’t a active person. It took two weeks after downloading the app to even making a start. In all honesty I’m fat (obese if you want to be technical) and I’m a comfort eater. Not a great mix but while the scales have hardly moved I feel so much better in myself and when I decided on sat to invest in some proper running gear I discovered I’d actually lost a dress size. Mentally and emotionally I feel in a good place and the fact that I actually ran without stopping for 25 mins on sat - in the heat - totally amazed me and I realised how far I’ve come. I don’t run fast it’s a slow jog but the fact I feel I’ve achieved and stuck with this far is a great feeling.
Looking forward to wk7: I’m not or rather wasn’t... - Couch to 5K

Well done Pjb. I haven't lost much weight really, a few pounds but I also feel so much better than I used to. I am certainly more energised than I was. Keep up the good work! 😁
hello!!! I am inspired by your post. I am an ex smoker and actually had to cut my run short today. I struggled with some discomfort in my chest. It was like 100 f with 100 percent humidity as well. I had already taken a small.bike ride with my son. I am trying to lose five more lbs. It is really hard. I eat instead of smoking now. It's hard not to. Anyway i.am wishing you happy good vibes! I love this site and will follow your progress!
I was the same as you and had the app for weeks before I finally said to myself “get off your Arse and do it” after watching all the inspirational people who had been affected in the Manchester bombing-my home town. I’d also not weighed myself for months but knew I’d piled the weight on especially after I’d been on holiday as when I put my work pants on they were ready for splitting and showing my laundry to the hospital! I had to go and ask my boss for a bigger pair 😳
7 weeks down the line I still haven’t weighed myself but know by my clothes and being able to get into a pair of jeans that I’d bought but had shoved away at Xmas has been better than seeing the numbers on the scales move.
The only numbers I want to see now are w7r2,w7r3 and so on!
It’s a great feeling to know we’ve come this far. Happy running!! 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️👍🏼👍🏼
That’s part of what all this is about: helping those of us who don’t routinely work our bodies to just get out there & change our unhealthy habits - well done you! I’m inspired by an 80-90 year old man shown onTV who had successfully taken up jogging/running....I’m only 67so no excuses!
