After suddenly having a "now or never" moment, I dragged my sorry a*se and went for my first run earlier on Sunday. I couldnt believe i survived it and took on W1R2 on Tuesday, I felt like collapsing half way through. But a small sense of achievement actually had me looking forward to W1R3 today...which I found by far the toughest as I thought I was going to die with shin splints!!!
I can't even imagine how I'm going to cope with W2 runs....!!! Having read some posts, I'm going to invest in proper running shoes this weekend, which I hope will help!!!
Eeeeks!!! Only thinking one run at a time as I cannot still fathom how I will ever get to graduation.
Just pace yourself and just try think of how good you feel when your start improving! Every week I feel like Iβm never going to be able to do the next but you somehow surprise yourself! xx
You will get to the end, we all do. For now, yes one run at a time, repeat if necessary, forget about the end just enjoy each run as it happens. We're a happy bunch here, most of us addicted to running (well I jog actually), and let us know how you're getting on. Believe me there will be good runs and not so good runs, but you will do it.
Trust the program....and believe you can and you will π
Check out slow jogging on YouTube - that is a good pace to aim for π it doesnt matter how slow you run, you'll be lapping everyone who is sat on the couch and there are no C25K Police lurking anywhere π
Slow and steady will get you from W1R1 through to W9R3. If I can, you can!
Kudos to you for getting up and doing your run, it was hot and tiring but you stuck with it to the end x x
