I have skived for a few days. Lionel Richie followed by two hours dancing in a very dark club, fuelled by shots (my teens were impressed) followed by chips sitting on a wall at 1.30am meant that I was not a my fitness prime for the next two days. The following day I collapsed in a deck chair on Brighton pier and refused to move for two hours. Still felt rubbish Monday and Tuesday I went to the beach for the first swim and BBQ of the year.
This mornings run was challenging even at 7am it was scorcho , the first five mins felt like the first five I ever did on this programme the last ten I spent trying not to think about the fact I needed to pee. As I finished I found my lovely daughter in the grave yard watching me and smiling “wow your fast mum “ she said “well done” I felt really emotional and sweaty. I managed 4.7k in 30 mins and I feel so happy and proud of my self 😀
Above is the BBQ beach.

Looks fabulous. Think I'd be tempted to just stay put there and not worry about running for a few days. Especially in this heat...should have taken up swimming as a hobby! 🤒 So massive well done for getting out there this morning! My daughter has also been super supportive but the word 'fast' has not been said 🤣
Wow great distance in that time (and heat!) I’m waiting for the weekend when I can get out when it’s a bit cooler - the evenings just aren’t cooling down here this week!
Great to see a balanced lifestyle, no reason not to have the odd binge and also keep the running up, sign of a healthy attitude to life in my opinion, look forward to seeing that graduate badge alongside your name
